When patients book appointments with you on the Virtual Practice, you will be notified immediately by SMS, email or mobile notification depending on your notification preferences. Using the Virtual Practice, you can-
- Confirm appointments, resulting in a confirmation notification being sent to the patient
- Reschedule appointments by setting an alternative timing which the patient will have to confirm
- Cancel appointment requests that you are not available to fulfill.
If there are more than one healthcare providers in your Virtual Practice and the patient has not specified who they want to consult, the incoming appointment request will need to be assigned to the right doctor by the admin user of the Virtual Practice.
Needless to say, it is very important that incoming appointment requests are handled on time. If you have an assistant/secretary helping you to manage your practice, he or she can also receive notifications when appointment bookings are made.
If you are unavailable for consultation, you can set up unavailable days by selecting the time period which prevents appointment bookings during those days.
