You can downgrade your subscription plan anytime, based on your business needs. However, when you downgrade to a lower plan, you will lose access to features that were exclusively available in the higher plan, and the data associated with it.

Tip: Check out our detailed Feature Comparison page to view the features available in our subscription plans.

This article outlines the changes that will take effect when you downgrade and some steps to consider before you downgrade.

How do I downgrade?

To downgrade, visit Settings > Virtual Practice Subscription > Virtual Practice Plans > Click ‘Change Planon your Virtual Practice Manager.

When will the change take effect?

The new subscription plan will be applied to your Virtual Practice account instantly, once confirmed. Features (and associated data) that are not included in the new plan will no longer be accessible.

Note: Removal of the white-labelling feature (if applicable) can take up to 3 working days.

Will I still have access to the data of the unavailable features?

No, the data associated with the unavailable features will not be accessible, once you downgrade.

How will I be charged when I downgrade?

If you have downgraded at the midst of a billing cycle, the balance amount paid for your former plan will be available as credits. This will be utilized for subsequent billing cycles. Your default card will be charged only after the credits have been exhausted.

Example: Suppose, your last payment for the Enterprise Standard Plan (Semi-annual billing) was on January 12th, 2021 and you have downgraded to the Team Plan (Quarterly billing) on April 25th, 2021. The balance amount paid for the remaining period of April 26th to June 12th, will be available as credits and this will be utilized for the quarterly payment of the Team Plan subscription. Once your credits have been exhausted, you will be charged with the new plan rate going forward.

If you have downgraded to a lower plan at the end of your current billing cycle, you will instantly be billed with the new plan rate.

Steps to consider before downgrading:

  1. Carefully compare the features included in our subscription plans on our Feature Comparison page.
  2. Ensure to back up any necessary data associated with the features provisioned exclusively in the current plan. Once downgraded, you will no longer have access to it through the application interfaces.
  3. If your Virtual Practice has multiple practice locations, make sure to map all practice locations, services and team users to the practice locations supported in the lower plan, before you downgrade. For example, if you are downgrading to the Team Plan, you will need to map all practice locations, services and team users to one (default) practice location, which is supported in the Team Plan.
  4. You will also need to reduce multiple Video and/or Clinic Services to the supported number of Video and Clinic Services in the lower plan. For example, if you are downgrading to the Team Plan, you will need to reduce multiple Video and/or Clinic Services to one (default) Video and/or Clinic Service.
